As with all participles, the box construction is commonly used:
Ї подошёл к стоївшему у двљри милиционљру.	(Same meaning.)
Unlike other participles, the past active participle occurs with both Imperfective verbs (like стоївший, above) and Perfective verbs (like приљхавший, below).
Ї подошёл к милиционљру, тћлько что приљхавшему из МосквІ.	I approached the policeman, who had just arrived from Moscow.
Ї подошёл к тћлько что приљхавшему из МосквІ милиционљру.	(Same meaning.)
Ї подошёл к милиционљру, котћрый тћлько что приљхал из МосквІ.	(Same meaning.)
Participles derived from verbs ending in -ся never have the variant -сь:
учќться: учќвшийся, учќвшаяся...
