Note: the title refers to a historical anecdote about two men with the same last name, Шапиро, but different priorities: an American reporter and a Russian civil servant. Both lived in Moscow in the 1930s. When witnessing a house fire, the American rushes to file the news item with his NYC paper while the Russian calls the firemen. Hence, два (разных) мира, два (разных) Шапиро. The story is so well known that the writer did not capitalize the name, almost as if it has become a common noun.
