Gennadiy N. Lepeshkin: No, you see, when the time came, my parents were already dead. As for my brothers and sisters, they weren't all that interested... I still haven't told them anything about what I worked on.
Interviewer: You still don't talk about it?
Lepeshkin: No... The thing is, I did a lot of different kinds of work. We developed vaccines. You know, many areas of biotechnology have to do not only with making various types of weapons, but also with designing defenses against those same weapons. I mean, approaches and methods of disinfection, specific as well as non-specific. There is a whole range of issues related to measures for protecting against weapons of mass destruction. And that was the main thrust of our work. We designed technical systems and various vaccines. We worked on enhanced introduction or injection methods for those vaccines. In other words, a whole range of additional methods. And we did that kind of work as well.
