Gennadiy N. Lepeshkin: Well, as part of our program to convert the enterprise to manufacturing consumer goods was... there was an objective which was called "reconstruction." Under that objective we were supposed to destroy everything... all the equipment which had anything to do with weapons production. We did destroy that equipment, that was part of the overall plan. At the same time, in the buildings where work with pathogens had gone on, a major disinfection project was carried out. We received orders from Moscow to put a stop to all activity and research, and to start working on issues of dismantlement and the "reconstruction" program objectives.
