But they were... there were very, very few such people, and naturally, they had a difficult time of it in their career, and of course, in order to make their getaway, to take off somehow and leave the institute, required a huge effort. Other organizations were then unwilling to hire those people, and they ended up on what was known as List Number 1, which meant that the relevant agencies would always keep an eye on them, and, basically, such a person's career was always on shaky ground after that.
