Gennadiy N. Lepeshkin: I don't know, since we would place a request and they were sent to us. So, I would be hard put to say where the animals came from.
Interviewer: Who... who delivered them, and who handled payment?
Lepeshkin: Well, the central agency in Moscow footed the bill for us. There was an organization in Moscow that was responsible for... there was a large department there, not even a department, really, it was the logistics directorate, which handled procurements, received and delivered to us here at the facility.
Interviewer: Who were the vendors?
Lepeshkin: I really couldn't tell you who the vendors were. But... they did the sourcing themselves, because after all, that was a totally different job. We would make a request and they would supply us. They supplied us with nutrient solutions, media, amino acids and, really, any chemical reagents we needed, and they also supplied animals and equipment. That was all centralized, and the supplies arrived by rail, air, various ways... or they were trucked in.
