Friday UNUSUAL Assignment: write a short paragraph around some (or all) of the Russian words listed below. Try to explore as many ways to incorporate the word (and its derivatives) in your text as you can. For example, if you were to write a paragraph around the English word "crime," you might talk about becoming a criminal, committing a crime, an investigation into a crime, the persecution of a criminal, a crime report in the media, etc. Pick a Russian word, use Google to see what people do with it in Russian, and let your imagination take over. The purpose of this assignment is to think in Russian as you compose your text, i.e. to build a meaningful text by triggering thoughts along a natural chain of Russian words. (You don't need to include the word in every sentence in your paragraph; be a good writer, use good judgement!)
