Половые органы человека достигают полного развития к концу подросткового периода. Этот возраст обычно называют половой зрелостью. A person's sexual organs come to full maturity towards the end of adolescence. This stage is often referred to as puberty.
NB The style of the phrase половые органы "genitals" is technical (i.e. medical or anatomical). There are no stylistically neutral terms for the particular organs that comprise the genitals.
This entry is concerned with the sexual organs only of humans. Under Lexical Relationships see Parts of the male genitals and Parts of the female genitals. Note that the singular form половой орган is used to refer to the penis only.
