Ещё издалека я увидел кудрявую голову Наташи. While still a good distance away I caught sight of Natasha's curly head.
Его голова была правильной формы. He had a well-shaped head.
NB When the word голова functions as a subject and does not have a descriptive modifier, the construction голова у + Genitive is often preferred to (a) and (b), above:
Голова у него была правильной формы. He had a well-shaped head.
