Вошлђ мђть, и Пљтины слёзы тџт же вІсохли. As soon as his mother came in, Petya's tears stopped.
NB When the word слёзы functions as a subject and does not have a descriptive modifier, the construction слёзы у + Genitive is often preferred to (a) and (b), above:
Слёзы у дљвочки бІли крџпные и прозрђчные. The little girl's tears were large and clear.
