Diminutives

глђзик; глазћк eye
NB The word глазћк also means "peephole"; as a diminutive meaning "small eye" (used mostly in the Plural form глђзки), it is affectionate when applied to a child, but somewhat pejorative when applied to an adult, especially to a man.
глазёнки (Plur. only); глђзоньки (Plur. only) eyes
NB The word глазёнки, often said of a child's eyes, is the ordinary diminutive, being somewhat endearing and conveying the usual implication of small size. The word глђзоньки, on the other hand, does not imply small size and is especially endearing and affectionate.
