Танцовщќца дљлала волнообрђзные движљния бёдрами. The dancer's hips were undulating.
This entry is concerned with the word бедрћ denoting the human hip, i.e. part of the body whose underlying bone structure includes the pelvis and the upper part of the thighbone. The word бедрћ is also used in the anatomical meaning "femur, thighbone," i.e. the bone which extends from the pelvis to knee. In the present entry this meaning occurs only in the expression for "broken hip": перелћм шљйки бедрђ, literally "a fracture of the neck of the femur," the neck being the part of the hip that usually gets broken in a fall.
